HOW TO JOIN US

Do You have a plan about organising an event or activity for our Ukrainian Community? You can achieve your goal with our friendly support. Here is what You need to know.

UCCL is a non profit volunteer organisation, at present all our finance comes from funding or donations. All UCCL committee members are non paid volunteers. To get things done, we need a budget. To get the money to fulfil our projects we can apply for various kinds of funding, for example, grants. In 2023 UCCL successfully applied and utilised grant from Lincolnshire Community Foundation. 

Your project can be a part of our funding plan or a reason for a separate funding. To understand if your idea is realistic and beneficial, we need to analyse organisational and financial sides of it. Think of it as of a business plan, only non profit. Receiving funding is a very responsible action. It includes detailed planning and  reporting, because the funding organisation must know everything about how we spend the money. 

What do we need to know before we can apply for funding or help you with organising:

1. Your name and contact details: email, phone number.

2. Describe Your project/activity.

3. How many Ukrainian refugees will benefit from it and in what way.

4. Budget all costs including staff costs at the Living Wage (if any).

5. Timescale for Your project: when it happens and timing.

6. Please outline the outcomes You expect to achieve.

7. Are You personally and/or any other people prepared to work on your project as volunteers? 

8. If non volunteering people involved, how many and what are their roles and financial expectations?
